Topical anesthetic sits for about 20 minutes, and the filler itself contains lidocaine, which keeps the vertical passes comfortable.

That look comes from too much product, not from this technique. We dose conservatively, build height instead of projection, and bring you back at two weeks to decide whether you want more. Expect real swelling for the first 24 to 48 hours, more than you would see with a standard lip touch-up, because vertical placement involves more injection points. Bruising is possible. Most guests look presentable by day three and see the true shape by the end of the first week.
Around nine to twelve months for most people, though lips burn through filler faster than other areas because they move constantly. Smoking, exercise habits, and metabolism all shorten that window. We usually see guests back for maintenance at the nine-month mark, using less product than the first appointment required.
Yes. Every hyaluronic acid filler we use in lips can be broken down with hyaluronidase, usually within a day or two of the appointment. That safety net is one reason we start conservatively. Tell us at your two-week check if the shape is not what you pictured, and we will discuss the options.
